Happy Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day in the UK today so best wishes to mums everywhere, I hope you all get spoilt rotten. Lots of love to my mum too: the most inspirational, strong, energetic, funny, interesting, independent, gorgeous woman I have ever known. I feel so lucky to be your daughter. Love you mum...

Wrestling!

I don't physically wrestle (my Nanna Mag loved watching actual wrestling on the telly and I remember as a kid being fascinated by her punching the air shouting at the television "GET 'IM, GET 'HIM!"). In fact, I don't like any sort of aggression but crikey sometimes when you are creating a piece of work it feels like you are in a fight, trying to tame it, looking for it's weak points and trying to get it under control. Knowing when to give up and being able to move on from that so called "failure" and start again can be difficult too. First world problems and all that, but if you are creative you'll know what I mean : )

International Women's Day

Club Tropicana strike offs - hurrah!

The strike offs are in. I created this range for Dashwood Studios last year and seeing the designs on fabric is ace. Whilst designing this I couldn't stop singing the Wham song. I've often got a song in my head related to the work I'm working on. Sometimes it can be an ear worm that just won't go until I move onto something else. Club Tropicana will be in the shops in Spring/summer 2017 can wait to get my hands on some fabric myself : )
